* Security Radio Network - provides communications links with other businesses in your community. Radio traffic will be monitored by the PCC CCTV Monitoring Station and your local police sector. This will aid efficient use of police resources. This benefit is optional.
* Membership of the Exclusion Notice Scheme - this will exclude prolific offenders from your premises.
* A working partnership with the Portsmouth Anti-Social Behaviour Unit, the Police, and the Crown Prosecution Service(and other organisations).
* Access to secure data regarding known offenders in your area.
* The Partnership will work with the Police to establish the identity of unknown individuals committing crimes in your area(including anti-social behaviour).
Free comprehensive training will be given to members that will cover:
* Radio Use
* Data Protection
* Crime Prevention
* Crime Reporting
NEW: Cheque and Payment card fraud and Identity Fraud.
All incidents reported by PBCRP members will be entered on to a secure computerised programme (NBIS) that will enable, in partnership with the Police, the identification of areas and individuals causing concern and the agreement of the most effective course of action. The police do not have access to or control of our database - it's for the Partnership. The PBCRP can also offer its members exclusive access to reduced cost packages. These will vary from time to time, but currently include:
* CCTV monitoring by Portsmouth City Council
* CCTV installation
* Alarm installation
* Security systems
* Security guarding
* Financial services
* Legal advice
* Artwork and print
How Much Will This Cost Me?
The annual cost of membership is as follows:
- Small business (hairdressers, dentist, non retail business) £52.
- Medium business (pubs, convenience store etc) £156.
- Large business (Department store, Night club) £234.
We have recently obtained a Home Office Grant so that we can support small businesses in Portsmouth more and are therefore able to offer membership, including a secure radio for £5 a week! So there is no better time to join than now!
The Partnership has received accreditation from the Home Office in the form of the Safer Business Award. This is a nationally recognised award that reflects the professionalism and high standards of the Partnership.
